This was the exposure that I was presented with w.r.t. VT-d (directed I/O) - it seemed that this was a requirement for the operation of the remote assistance software from Citrix.

Thanks for explaining the difference between vt-x and vt-d. I nearly purchased computers that I wanted to use a Citrix solution with.
Why cannot manufacturers and retailers of hardware know that this is a requirement? It is like you are talking some strange foreign language when you ask about Citrix compatibility!
