Fruits from the hedgerows

Autumn certainly is "a time of plenty". Yesterday,  and over the weekend we have been picking blackberries and damsons from the side of the road and across the fields.

Also a neighbour has a glut of Victoria plums and we have a cache of those as well. Much jam and chutney making has ensued and most of this will be sold in aid of charity. The problem now is that we are fast running out of suitable glass jars and we make have to camp out at the bottle bank to see what we can get from those that are throwing them out in the recycling.
